IMC - A Mix of Art and Science:
IMC is Integrated Marketing Communications. It's a smart way to incorporate all of your identity, core values and/or mission into all aspects of your business. Think about the color scheme your business uses? Is it consistent throughout your business, signage, cards, letterheads, website, brochures, magazine ads, etc.? What do callers hear when they call your business? Are the greetings used by your reps consistent with the image or mission of your company? These are just a few of the ways IMC can improve your brand to the public.
Great marketing employs many factors... and typically companies, even small ones, keep the sales folks divided from the other areas of the business which, to us, seems all wrong.
Sales and marketing people need to be embedded within an organization! And if they aren't, at least insert your sales, PR and advertising information within the company. Everyone should answer the phone the same way, your latest ad campaign should be clearly visible around the office, your logo should be placed strategically both in and outside the building, and most importantly your employees should know, thoroughly understand, and be able to recite at any given time, the goals, objectives and values of your organization.
Remember each employee is also a prospective client of yours!
And no one cares how much you know, until they know how much you care.
