The Art of Design...

Many people try to design and typically only consider what looks good to them, not how intuitive the design will be when others use it. They only consider the visual appeal, not the function.

Know this, good design employs many factors...

If you have an artistic eye - great! But you're in the minority of graphic designers. Most designers take whatever space they are afforded (from the marketing folks) and force everything to "fit". And that's not an easy task. If you have the luxury of space in your project AND a sharp eye you can do some fantastic things!

If you're in marketing you need to work with your creative people before you make a business decision about how to get your message out. It's always best if marketing and design teams work together with synergy to achieve best results. If forms, database, or other technical aspects are involved you have other objectives to consider!

Sheila's knowlege in graphic design, database functionality, writing, and marketing allows her to offer you what works vs. what doesn't.

Isn't your goal to find, win, and keep customers? Why not hire Sheila to do what she does best? You can focus on the other parts of your business you do best!

Balance

There's alot to be said about balance in design. Most of it's subjective. Similar to art, when a friend says she loves something and you think it's ugly.
